[USA][Selling] FMA Complete Set, Love Com Manga, Rokka and Empty Box Light Novels, Your Name + Ancient Magus Bride LE Blu Ray

Hey guys! Trying something new around compared to my old posts. Instead of posting everything with prices listed and no pictures, I am going to "curate" what I am selling every post to include pictures with every item I plan on selling! I figured this would make things easier to sell from my end so people aren't asking for pictures in post.
I will try to post this almost every week, and I plan on including Manga, Light Novels, Blu Rays, Figures and other merchandise!
Of note, prices do not include shipping!
That said, this is what I have for sale!
Manga
Light Novels
Blu-Rays
If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Lockdown 3.0 Things to do, plus help and support.

Disclaimer I want to thank everyone for the gilds, replies and suggestions. I just do not have time to reply to everyone, but I am reading everything. I am not sure how much bigger the thread can be, I already typed this but it vanished so I think I'm at the limit. I will try to keep updating, but I don't expect the thread to be up top for much longer and will likely vanish soon, so if you need anything save it.
Yes, it's hard, it sucks, it's depressing. It is something we all have to do if you want to see this virus go. Everyone knows the deal, too many think they're the exception but no one is. However, staying home is hard so maybe I can help at least one or two people with some incentives. I'll try to give links to some things that can help cure the boredom, and some support if you need it.
Most of this might be obvious to some, some might not even have internet and of course, money is a big issue, so I'll try to give some suggestions:
For streaming and on demand things such as Netflix et al, don't forget you can subscribe for free for your first month. This goes for most things in the list. If you are worried about putting in your payment details and forgetting to cancel a month later, don't worry! You can sign up and immediately cancel and you still get your free month!
For people who don't have a smart TV, you can buy a cheap Amazon Fire TV stick or a Roku box. The Fire stick can go as low as £20 often for 1080p. It will drop to £30 for 4k.
I picked up a 4k Roku device for £18 on Amazon once. It's fast and snappy. currently it's going for £33 for the 4k version. Having both, there is little difference between the devices. NowTV also do their own roku powered device.
Subscription based streaming sites that all offer 2-4 weeks free for first timers
  • Netflix *According to comments the second month is free.
  • Amazon Prime You can either get Amazon video on its own, or take prime with other benefits. I strongly urge those who use Amazon for buying off their store front to use [https://smile.amazon.co.uk/] as there is literally no difference except everything you buy amazon donates to a charity of your choice.
  • Now TV (I believe it's 7 days)
  • Disney+
  • Britbox
  • Amazon channels. I believe you can get all these individually but Amazon offers them as channels bound to your prime account, and they are again either free for a couple weeks (again, take them, cancel instantly) or very cheap. I recently subscribed to Starzplay for £1 for 3 months. It has some good shows on it like Fringe, doom patrol. It also has channels like Curiosity stream and shudder
If you have not subscribed to the any of the above, you can get a few months of free TV by signing up and cancelling instantly. I suggest waiting at least 5 minutes just to let it go through the system.
Some tips for Now TV. IF you already have a subscription, I've noticed you can get it cheaper by cancelling. When you cancel they will beg you to stay. Select "I can not afford it this month" and they should beg again, telling you what shows they have. If you say you still want to cancel, they'll beg one last time and offer you the subscription for cheaper. This won't work every month, but I've noticed they'll always offer it the first time, then again after a couple months. If you're subscribed to both films and entertainment do the most expensive one as it may not work both times (but it might!). You can also pick up passes from storefronts a lot cheaper sometimes, before I could pick one up on Amazon for £3 but, they seem to have cracked down on it. If you shop around (or if anyone knows of a legitimate store please let me know) you might be able to pick it up cheaper. Lastly, check their website and under your account they should have an "offers for you" section.
Completely free TV
If you do have a smart TV and/or device, there are some good free streaming apps. One I really love is called PlutoTV. I know this is on both Roku and the fire stick, as well as Ps4/Ps5 and xbox.
Pluto offers a bunch of live channels and now an on demand section, all for free. It has adverts but they are actually short (shorter than regular TV and fewer of them). Some of the channels are just streaming certain shows like Mythbusters 24/7 or Dog the bounty hunter, but it has a lot of old movie channels as well as 24/7 kickboxing and MMA. It also has a 24/7 poker channel I quite like.
Another one I like is Rakuten Viki however, I haven't watched it for a while as my fire stick is only 1080p and I have too many other devices attached. I believe it is on Roku but you have to jump through some hoops and have an account. The last I checked on the fire stick you did not. Viki offers a metric ton of Asian shows, mainly from Japan and South Korea but it does have chinese, Malaysian etc. It has subtitles. Some Japanese shows are hysterical, albeit weird.
Roku also do their own channels with free shows if you own a device.
For those who don't have a smart TV or a Streaming device, you can set up your own computer as a dedicated streaming device with Plex. It's been a while since I used it but I believe it now also offers free movies and TV.
Anime
If you are into Anime there is
The first 2 are free to watch, or offer premium without ads which you can have a trial with. Crunchyroll is the better of the two with more original choice for Japanese voice and subs, while Funimation has more Dubs. I don't believe HiDive is free to watch but you do get a 2 week trial. These are more exclusives than the previous two.
PC Centric software
If you are a gamer or like Audiobooks or anything that uses computers for things like music making, programming or graphic design
Humble Bundle offers, as per the name, bundles. A long running site that got bought out by IGN. It offers both single items and bundles you can buy individually/as a pack while also offering a separate monthly subscription for around £8-9. The subscription gives you 12 games on average per month. That's the simplest explanation but it changes somewhat as sometimes you get to pick 10 out of 14 games, or get all 12.
Humble bundle offers more than just games though. Every Tuesday they bring a new bundle of games, while Thursday (I "think) a new bundle of books. They very often have books from the Black Library giving you a ton of Warhammer books. Sometimes it's standard E-books, other times it's audiobooks. A few times a year they do bundles for graphic design, a typical bundle would include programs like Paintshop Pro Corel Painter etc, They usually go for £0.76 for tier 1 up to around £18 for tier 3, which would include 4-6 full titles with 10+ addons. They also often have Music making bundles or video editing software as well as Programming or video game development.
The bundles change often, they usually have around 11 bundles at a time that last for 20 days. Sometimes it's trash but they do often have some very good deals.
Fanatical offers the same as humble bundle except usually not as high quality, but sometimes they do have some incredible deals, and they are very very cheap.
Both humble and fanatical are safe, trusted and been around a long time, and they are NOT grey market key sites. They work with the publishers and developers. You can buy games both old and new for a lot cheaper than you would most other places. Unless it states otherwise, keys are usually for steam.
**BOTH HB and Fanatical (HB much more common) offer free games fairly often. The catch is linking your steam account to them (at least HB). It is safe however.
IndieGala is another site like above. Except, these are much much lower quality. However, they offer a metric ton of free games. Quality is low but it is legitimate, and a lot of free stuff.
Game Store Fronts
  • Steam This one is so obvious I didn't add it, but apparently many want me to. It is the best out there, and you can find almost everything, with fantastic deals.
  • Greenmangaming offers games cheaply. Again, not a grey market site (which are legal but unethical) and they sometimes do bundles.
  • GoG (Good old games) is a DRM free site run by CDPR, the makers of the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk. They offer you games quite cheap and not needing DRM (such as Steam, Uplay etc which is less invasive versions of dodgy DRM from the olden days).
  • Epic Games Despite the controversy whether you care about their rivalry with valve, they offer free games ever week. Without ever having bought anything I have gained over 170 games. literally. Good games for the most part. They often give you £10 coupons as well.
  • Twitch Everyone knows twitch, but if you don't, it's a streaming service for watching gamers and girls with low cut tops accidentally bending over in front of the game. However, if you're signed up to prime, you get free games each month (and randomly between the set bunch).
  • Playstation Store Currently has January sales. Currently the free games for PS+ are for PS4: Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Greedfall. For the Ps5 it is Maneater
  • Games with Gold Bleed 2 and the King of Fighters XIII is available until Janurary 15th whilst little Nightmares is available until January 31st.
Gaming Subscriptions
Like the TV versions, you can sign up to these for a free trial (or very cheap). If you do sign up to only one at a time, it should keep you busy for a few months
  • Xbox Game Pass You can do this on both/either an Xbox or PC. If you sign up to the regular one, you can get a month (maybe three!) for £1. After you have done that, you can sign up to the premium version for 3 months at £1 a month. Most people know game pass, but you can download a large selection of games for free. The premium version gives you games with gold, allowing you to keep the games forever (but can only play with a subscription)
  • Ubisoft+ I'm not 100% sure if you get a trial or not. This allows a large collection of Ubisoft titles to play for £12.99 a month. Quite expensive but good if you like Ubisoft titles I guess.
  • EA Play EA's version. Goes by a ton of names I think, EA Access, EA Play, Origin Access etc etc. There's a couple of versions of this, and it is across all platforms (PS4/5, Xbox, PC) but not sure about the switch. I "think" the premium allows you to play on all platforms, while the cheaper one on a single platform, but I may be mistaken.
  • PS Now a once terrible service that is now actually very good. Allows you to download some Ps4 games to your PS4/5 and lets you stream a massive amount of Ps2/3/4 to your PC or playstation.
There's more like nvidia's service but you need the Shield device which is quite expensive. I'll leave it at that.
Audiobooks & Ebooks
  • Audible Not sure what the current deal is but if you are a prime member you can sign up for a trial and get a free Audiobook each month for 3 months. Some warhammer books are 48 hours long, 3 of those gives you a good 100+ hours of listening!
  • Comixology Another Amazon company, but lets you download some free comics I believe.
  • Marvel Unlimited No experience with this. ItFuckingWont wanted me to add it. A subscription service for Marvel.
Education
  • Sign Language BSL here No experience myself, suggested by n21brown and asked for a few times. Didn't know SL was so popular! Listed as "Pay what you can"
  • BBC's Bitesize here is apparently good for home learning. Again, no personal experience.
If you need some spare change
Okay, I don't generally bother with it, but maybe some of this could be useful to you. These are NOT a quick way to make a fortune. These are small things you can do over time for a bit of pocket change
  • If you have prime you can get a FREE FIVE POUND GIFT CARD by literally just streaming a song from Amazon music (which is included in prime) here is the details According to the comments it's only for select people, but it's worth trying If the link doesn't work for you just google "Amazon £5 coupon music"
  • Now, these sorts of sites have been around for years, I haven't used any other than talkInsights which I must have signed up to 10-15 years ago. Basically they send you surveys and you answer them. They are confidential and don't ask for personal details in the survey. You need 2000 points and you get £20. During the pandemic they've slowed down but I probably get around £40 a year. Not much I know, but it's an email followed by a quick survey ticking boxes. Depending on your answer sometimes you get screened out, I'm not telling you to lie but just be consistent with your answers and you should be able to work out how to not get screened. Some emails are only worth 20 points, others 200. It's slow to get to the 2000 but very quick to just answer a few questions.
  • Apparently beermoneyuk is a good sub to make some pocket change with.
  • There is also matched betting. I have never done this, I don't have the patience but from what I've read, it's legitimate, it works and you can make a fair amount of cash from it so long as you do it correctly, and there's a ton of guides. I mention this because people stuck at home could get into it and as long as you're careful (I.E not entering in the wrong numbers) it's risk free AND it pisses off the betting shops. It seems people in comments have had success with it. Disclaimer A couple have complained about gambling. This arguably is not gambling. If you are susceptible to addiction do not do it. However, it's argued that there is no fun or buzz in this, and it's a very tedious and time consuming thing. Others argue you can't make the same money anymore (People were making thousands, now only hundreds if that). It's risk free providing you know what you're doing, the risks are user error, such as entering the wrong numbers. Someone pointed out that due to the lockdown, bets could potentially be cancelled due to sport stopping. So use on a side of caution. We're (mainly) adults so I'll leave it up just because this doesn't have the excitement of regular gambling.
  • Microsoft Rewards This is an easy way to make pocket change doing very little. Most people have a MS account. The rewards program offers you numerous ways to grab points, by playing free to play games, answering small questions (you don't even need to answer most of the time, just open the link and shut it) and by using bing and searching on it. I've gotten 20k points JUST by answering questions over a couple months. There are many rewards but you can grab a £5 gift card for 6k for example, or a month of game pass (and AFAIK you can make points playing the games)
  • Google rewards Someone mentioned this in the comments. I have not used it, so can not give any input on it. Sounds similar to TalkInsights which I linked. Google states "Complete short surveys while standing in line, or waiting for a subway. Get rewarded with Google Play or PayPal credit for each one you complete. Topics include everything from opinion polls, to hotel reviews, to merchant satisfaction surveys. We’ll notify you when a survey is waiting."
That's it for now. I will try to update as I go along. A long post but I hope that it can help some of you with finding something good to do that's free, cheap or a bargain. I do suggest getting prime, especially since you get free music, free delivery, free TV and music and free video games each month. In fact, there's a ton of perks and I feel I've gotten way over the cost investment.
Hope it helps someone at least
PartTimeCrazy said if you bought an Apple product you get 3 free months of Apple Arcade and Apple TV free for a year
fakehunted is upset I didn't mention wanking. Tesco have 225 sheets of Tissue for £0.75!
tale_lost suggested Project Gutenberg for a collection of free E-Books
Learning Language
Unfortunately, I don't have time to check every link listed so I will link the comments:
Togtogtog Gives a lot of links for Spanish
Board & Tabletop games
Corporal_Anaesthetic has made a list of Board games
ilyemco suggested these
HEALTH
I'm not a doctor! But if you're a smoker, something I strongly suggest is to quit. I struggled for years but in the first lockdown I quit, technically. I haven't had a cigarette since, however, I do that silly thing millennials do. I vape, but, it made quitting extremely easy. I would not have been able to do it if it wasn't for 88Vape They sell extremely cheap liquids at £1 each. You can find these in B&M but you can pick up 25 for £20 or buy your own mix.
Vitamin D deficiency has been said to be a big problem for the virus. I'd suggest (again, not a doctor!) that you pick some up. Tesco do a 3 for 2 deal. So you can pick up 270 tablets for £7.
If you are vulnerable you MIGHT be able to phone tesco and get put on their delivery saver list (currently it's paused but phoning may help. At the very least they might give you a priority slot. I did this for my mum, we didn't shop at Tesco but I phoned for her, and they put her on with no hassle, so she can always get a delivery.
HELP & ADVICE
The lockdown Rules.
Reasons to leave home include:
  • Work or volunteering where it is "unreasonable" to work from home. This includes work in someone else's home, such as that carried out by social workers, nannies, cleaners and tradespeople
  • Education, training, childcare and medical appointments and emergencies
  • Exercise outdoors (limited to once a day). This includes meeting one other person from another household in an open public space to exercise
  • Shopping for essentials such as food and medicine
  • Communal religious worship
  • Meeting your support or childcare bubble. Children can also move between separated parents Activities related to moving house
I want to add, if you are in danger you are also allowed (and must!) to get away from the situation for some reason, BBC seems to have missed this very important thing (or I am blind)
Support
FOR THOSE SHIELDING YOU CAN CONTACT THE ROYAL VOLUNTARY SERVICE. These people helped my mother with picking up her medicine from the chemist. They were very helpful and went out their way to keep in touch and do it immediately. (It's the only experience I have with them though)
_riotingpacifist wanted these links added, but I simply just don't have the time to vet and check all the suggestions here, so I will link as is:
Update:
Digital Art
These are Free
  • Krita Arguably the best in my opinion. It has a load of options, brushes and a decent UI. It works fantastic with a tablet.
  • Gimp This is a decent program but last I used, the UI was a pain, and it isn't so user friendly while misses features, but it works, and it is possible to do some incredible creations on it.
  • Medibang Paint This is slightly geared towards Comics and Manga. I really enjoy using this with my drawing Tablet. As far as I know, it also for regular tablets for Android/Ipad and is free.
You can pick up a drawing tablet on Amazon quite cheap these days! Small ones that are just a black slate such as the wacom ones are good but takes some practice to get use to, but very worth it if you can't afford a dedicated drawing tablet with a screen.
Office suit software
A couple of free applications for word processing, spreadsheets etc.
  • LibreOffice This has most the average user would need to write their own books or to work from home. There's not a huge amount of difference between the two I'm linking (since I last used anyway) so it's more for preference.
  • Open Office You can pick this up here and again, like above it's just preference.
Music Making
I'm going to direct to matthewharris806 for some links as all the programs I've used like Reason are expensive, or cheaper stuff in bundles such as Magix software.
Games development
D_Dad_Default gives some links for that here

A Guide to Happy Romance Anime

Sometime back, I had made a post about romance anime with happy endings. Since then, I have watched quite a few more and decided to make an updated post with a little more detail. This time, I will categorise them a little differently. For example, people might be looking for a romance anime that is light on drama or an action-romance. In all of these recommendations, the ship sails (in the anime itself). That is the main point of this post. I will also put a (*) where the main ship gets together early on. These are all anime which I have watched myself so I can guarantee that the ship sails AND it ends happily.
Romantic comedies: These are the ones which actually have a comedy component to them and keep you smiling throughout.
  1. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! - This, for me, is the very definition of a rom-com. It is definitely cliched. But it makes you laugh and feel good. There are romantic moments between the two main characters throughout. No pointless fights. Watching them grow closer together was just amazing! It is adapted from the manga of the same name but it has an ending unique to itself. Strongly recommend the manga too.
  2. Tonikaku Kawaii* - It recently finished airing and is the story of a just married couple. It's filled to the brim with cute, romantic moments. Manga is also amazing.
  3. Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii* - Office romance. Two couples. Super cute. Not much drama. Focus is almost exclusively on these couples. Must-watch.
  4. Science Fell In Love, So I Tried To Prove It - Extremely enjoyable with good humour. I loved the main "couple". It's a must watch for nerds and again is filled to the brim with romantic interactions between the two MCs. It's a nice change of pace since it's about master's degree students.
  5. The Recovery of an MMO Junkie - About two adults who meet through a video game. The interactions were by and large adorable and nothing felt too dragged on. Very enjoyable.
  6. Boarding School Juliet* - A twist on the tale of Romeo and Juliet. It was so enjoyable and the chemistry between the two MCs is so good. The anime doesn't adapt the entire manga but it ends at a good place. I highly recommend reading the manga.
  7. Ao-chan Can't Study! - Slightly ecchi (not too much). Very entertaining with short episodes (12 minutes each). There were loads of cute moments and there wasn't much drama. Thoroughly enjoyed.
  8. Tsurezure Children - Focuses on a few high-school couples. Very enjoyable. If you want a conclusion for some of the couples, you'll have to read the manga but the anime as a standalone is very enjoyable too and gives a conclusion to a few of them.
Romantic dramas: These are the ones where there is a lot of drama involved; fights, jealousy and sorting out feelings.
  1. Nagi no Asu kara - One of the best romantic dramas out there. It makes your heart twist and turn and experience a different set of emotions. It's all about understanding your feelings and the common desire to resist change. Believe me, it is worth the watch.
  2. ReLife - It's hard to use words to describe how amazing this show was. Ever wished you could redo high-school? You can't, but you can watch someone else do it. Love, friendship, fights, jealousy, happiness, sadness - ReLife has it all. Although the manga is more extensive (I certainly recommend reading it), the anime is beautiful too. (Ensure you watch until the very last second of episode 17)
  3. Brighter than the Dawning Blue aka Crescent Love* - This is an anime which I feel is not spoken about enough in the romance genre. It is short (12 episodes), sweet, strongly focused on romance and not without drama. The drama is not overdone and is mostly about the main couple overcoming various obstacles. The main couple is one of the sweetest anime couples I have seen.
  4. Oregairu - Although some might disagree, it will be remembered for a long time as one of THE rom-coms. I haven't put it in the previous category solely because I felt it was more of a drama than a comedy. Again, it is about growth, jealousy, love and a lot of things we've experienced in high school.
  5. Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai* - Rascal Doesn't Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai is also one of the best romances I've seen. The main couple get together midway into the show and their relationship shows quite good development throughout. The movie Rascal Doesn't Dream of a Dreaming Girl is a must watch. Has a happy ending but fair warning: have a tissue box ready.
  6. Saekano - Saekano (How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) was a thoroughly moving story with one of the best romances I've seen. I cannot recommend this enough. You will have to watch the movie to get a conclusion to the romance but it is extremely worth it. Like Oregairu, it does away with a lot of the classic tropes one sees in romance anime.
  7. Toradora! - It is very different from Oregairu, yet it captures a very similar spirit. Again, I don't really consider it a rom-com. Some might not like the female MC's personality but I think their entire story was really cute. Enjoy how the dragon tames the tiger.
  8. Tsuki ga Kirei* - Relive the rollercoaster of emotions of your middle-school love. This is the story of how two middle-schoolers met and fell in love. There is jealousy, there is drama. But it is not pointless and is in fact very realistic.
  9. Amagami SS and Amagami SS Plus - Omnibus format. I watched the arcs of the girls I liked and quite enjoyed it. They achieve quite a lot with 4 + 2 episodes for each girl.
  10. Seiren - Similar to Amagami SS although I watched all three arcs for the three girls. I quite enjoyed it. I do recommend Amagami and Seiren for those looking for a quick romance.
  11. Konbini Kareshi - It was a good multiple couple romance with good emphasis on both the pairings. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. Don't listen to the mean reviews on MyAnimeList.
  12. Kokoro Connect - Quite a twisted anime which I liked quite a bit. Has supernatural elements and two of the characters end up together. I liked the ship although some of you may not.
  13. Special A - It's a sweet anime. I found myself moderately annoyed at times cause the female MC was so dense. The main couple gets together at the end though and that was quite nice.
  14. 3D Kanojo: Real Girl* - It has a happy, conclusive ending. It is relatively dramatic but I enjoyed the ride nonetheless. A worthwhile watch. Like with ReLife, ensure you watch until the very end.
  15. Orange - It was one of the first anime I watched. Quite dramatic but has a good romance. It ends well but is likely to leave you in happy tears. There is also the movie Orange: Mirai, which is worth watching.
  16. Itazura na Kiss* - One of the few anime which goes all the way from high-school to adulthood. The male MC is a big asshole sometimes which can be a huge turn off. He does change significantly towards the end and it makes for a sweet story.
  17. Just Because! - It has a happy and conclusive ending but it doesn’t have what I would consider many happy romantic moments. A lot of it is about people sorting out their feelings for each other. If you’re looking for something feel-good, I don’t recommend it. If you’re looking for something realistic, I certainly do. I feel more could have been done for the main couple’s romance. It is a lot like Nagi no Asu kara.
  18. Tada Never Falls in Love - While there is one major plot-hole at end, the anime is overall very sweet, has a good focus on building the romance and it has a rather happy ending.
  19. Itsudatte Bokura no Koi wa 10 cm Datta - What most romance anime take 12 episodes or 24 episodes to achieve, 'Our love has always been 10 cm apart' achieves in just 6. Just like any other romance anime, the cliches are present but I found the story to be quite unique. There are plenty of emotional moments and drama but I felt they fit into the story. Just like the others, we have a happy ending which was quite satisfying.
  20. Dusk Maiden of Amnesia - definitely one of the weirder romance anime I’ve watched. But it was enjoyable and the emphasis on romance was there throughout. Genre is romance/horror but it wasn’t particularly scary or anything.
  21. Myself; Yourself - It's an anime I liked quite a bit. The romance isn't at the forefront all the time. The character development is good and each has their backstory and a slight trauma they want to overcome. Keep in mind that there are themes of suicide. The main characters end up together and the scene in the last episode is beautiful.
  22. Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate - Love, Elections and Chocolate is amongst my recently watched anime. I liked it albeit not to the extent I liked some of the others. The romance is decent and the characters end up together (it is implied but obvious enough).
  23. A Bridge to the Starry Skies - If there's one thing I've realised it's that romance anime based on visual novels aren't all that great (barring a few exceptions like Brighter than the Dawning Blue). It is a harem anime and each of the girls is given a certain amount of development. This is not entirely a bad thing. Each of the girls is nice and the MC isn't falling all over them. His focus is on one girl. That being said, given the nature of such anime, you might find that there isn't much time given to the main couple. This also applies to Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate. I would go for the visual novel based romance anime after exhausting the rest.
Fantasy/Action Romance: These are the ones which either don't take place in our world (fantasy worlds/isekai) or have action involved.
  1. Grancrest Senki* - It's an action, fantasy romance with a moderately strong focus on romance. I absolutely loved the romance aspect of it. It was well developed without any jealousy shenanigans. The main couple is one of my favourites. It's an amazing watch if you want to get away from high-school romances and also if you're into fantasy and war. I went into it just for the romance and was not disappointed.
  2. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry* - The most popular action romance and not without reason. It is really amazing and one of the few anime of its type. The main characters' chemistry is special. The anime doesn't adapt the entire manga but the anime content ends at a good place.
  3. Akagami no Shirayuki-hime* - A truly heartwarming story. It's not overly dramatic and the romance is pretty brilliantly written. While the ending of the anime in season 2 is not conclusive in that sense, the romance starts quite soon and most of the anime is about the moments between the two leads. I absolutely loved it.
  4. Sword Art Online* - Some love it, some hate it. I fall into the former category. It's not as harem as some suggest and the romance between the two MCs is just adorable. I consider it a must watch anime anyway.
  5. Kenja no Mago* - Isekai anime with a nice romance. Main couple gets together during the show. From a story point the anime is incomplete but the romance is there. Gets way more hate than it deserves. I really enjoyed the show and its MAL score doesn't do it justice.
  6. Twin Star Exorcists - It was a good watch. I enjoyed seeing the growth of the two main characters and their relationship grow. However, don’t watch it if it’s only for the romance. In a 50 episode anime, it’s not until the last 10 episodes that there’s much romance. Keep in mind it is an extremely slow-burn romance. Most of the content was original and many say the manga is far superior. I haven't read the manga so I won't comment.
  7. Zetsuen no Tempest - Not a very strong focus on the romance but the romantic progress is there. It was a very interesting watch to say the least.
Movie Romances:
  1. Kimi no Na wa - Is there anything I can say about this movie other than beautiful? If you haven't watched it already, what are you doing?
  2. Tenki no Ko - By the same director as Kimi no Na wa. Brilliant in its own right with stunning visuals and a lovely story. Very moving.
  3. Summer Wars - Compared to the previous three, a very lighthearted romcom movie. I quite enjoyed myself.
  4. Hello World - sci-fi romance anime. I was a bit confused at times but it was sweet.
  5. I've Always Liked You - It's by the same studio as 'Our love has always been 10cm apart'. It's a one hour film which I really enjoyed.
P.S. I have watched Clannad but I haven't yet found the heart to watch After Story.
Feel free to add your own recommendations in the comments below!

Lockdown, things to do, help & advice.

Disclaimer I am posting this here because I got a message from the mods asking me to. I'm not from London so links aren't London centric (but hopefully still of help) and the main post is here so any updates will likely be there (I will try here but it's hard to keep up with the amount of suggestions)
Thanks.
_riotingpacifist wanted this links added, but I simply just don't have the time to vet and check all the suggestions here, so I will link as is:
Update:

Interview with Band-Maid on PIA (2021-02-02) — Toward a wider world: Band-Maid talk about the new album Unseen World and entertainment

Article
Previous discussion:
Here is my translation of the interview with Band-Maid on PIA on February 2, 2021. PIA is the website of PIA Corporation, one of the largest ticket agencies in Japan.

Toward a wider world: Band-Maid talk about the new album Unseen World and entertainment
Band-Maid: Misa (bass), Akane (drums), Miku Kobato (guitavocals), Saiki (vocals), Kanami (guitar)
Band-Maid, who make an extremely powerful hard rock sound in maid outfits, with a growing popularity and established acclaim in Japan as well as overseas, never stop their evolution. Their new album Unseen World is also a dense work, with the themes “Return to the roots” and “Progress from the current point”. The songs that remind you of their early days and the songs that show their current point and future are all full of hot energy. Their courage to boldly jump into the unseen world, backed up with their solid playing skills and rich expressiveness, inspires us listeners. We had an interview with the five of them about the album.
Saiki
— I’ve heard you had two themes, “Return to the roots” and “Progress from the current point”.
Miku Kobato: That’s right, po. We constantly write songs. We’ve been doing so for some time, po. When a lot of songs came out, their directions felt very diverse, so we were like “How should we put them together in an album?” So we decided like “We can put them tightly in an album if we devide them with two concepts, ‘return to the roots’ and ‘progress from the current point’, right?”, po.
— What kind of image do you have for “Roots” and “Progress” each?
Kobato: “Roots” has the original feel of us Band-Maid, po. In our early days, we had a little different atmosphere than now, and there are many masters (male fans) and princesses (female fans) who like those days. At that time, we played provided songs, so this time we thought, “Now we can probably write songs that remind them of those days by ourselves”, po. And ”Progress” is what we are now and challenging songs that lead to what we will be in the future, po.
Misa: I think we expanded ranges in various aspects of our band this time. As for my bass, I was able to think carefully about it and put in phrases I had never tried before.
Kanami: I wanted to write songs about my feelings at each moment, because each feeling is unique to each moment, like “I want to play at festivals as hell!” and depression because of the pandemic.
Kobato: We were saying quite often, “We want to do a serving (concert) soon”, po, right?
Kanami: Yeah.
Kobato: There are many masters and princesses overseas saying “Please come to our contry soon”, po. We had been touring overseas in the last few years, but unfortunately we couldn’t last year, po.
Saiki: That was the situation, so we were like “Let’s record without forgetting the live feel”. We had a lot of time to think, so we thought of writing songs that would make our masters and princesses happy. Moreover, during the stay-at-home period, we all improved our home equipment and set up our production environment well. That made a big difference. I also made an environment to record vocal demos.
— Wasn’t it quite an improvement for you to set up your production environment in terms of communication among you during production?
Saiki: That’s right. We got to be able to communicate very closely, and our sounds improved too. Kanami-chan was very glad about that.
Kanami: It became easier to mix demos, so I really appreciated it.
— It seems there are many musicians who upgraded their production environment at home last year. There are also many people who have become good at video editing.
Akane: During the period when we couldn’t do a serving, we were like “How can we make our masters and princesses happy?” and added a lot of fan club contents, like videos that give a glimpse of our private lives and hobbies. I got to enjoy editing those videos (laughter). I learned something useful for our band in the future.
— Without this situation, you probably wouldn’t have done live streaming concerts.
Kobato: That’s right. Our masters and princesses overseas were able to watch our Online Okyu-ji, which led to new encounters, and our masters and princesses who can hardly come to our concerts were also very pleased, so I think it has become one of our new strengths, po.
Kobato
— The album is full of powerful songs. For example, After Life is extremely cool. This time, I really feel your strength, including the lyrics.
Kobato: As for the lyrics, we Band-Maid always have a theme of “having a strong core while having sadness”, so I think we have such strength this time too. Also, there were many songs that emphasize storylines.
After Life was released in advance.
Kobato: Yes. After completing all the songs, we talked together, with staff members too, like “Which should be the lead song?” and we thought the song would be good, po.
— The guitar is really cool too.
Kanami: Thank you very much. The solo is a little technical but easy to play, so I wrote it while wishing many people would cover it.
CHEMICAL REACTION is also fantastic. It will be cool to play it at a stadium or the like. You can imagine the audience pushing their fists all at once and getting excited with the song.
Kobato: It’s a song you can shout “Hey!” to, po.
Akane: We wrote some of the songs in this album aiming at big venues, so we want to play them in front of you all as soon as possible.
— Saiki-san, isn’t that you will sing CHEMICAL REACTION powerfully and get the audience more and more involved?
Saiki: Well, yes. In a few years (laughter).
Kobato: When the pandemic settles down, right?
Saiki: Yeah.
Kanami: I wrote as many riffs as possible on a day every week during the stay-at-home period, and I’ve been doing so since then, and Misa is also writing a lot of riffs. For CHEMICAL REACTION, she gave me a riff like “How about this?” and I expanded it from there.
Misa: I kept sending riffs that came to my mind in my daily life to Kanami. The riff of CHEMICAL REACTION was one of them.
Kanami: Recently Misa is working hard on it and expanding the Band-Maid color. I’m glad about that. It’s like “Let’s work on it together!”
Kobato: Your way of talking is cute. Those songs didn’t come out cutely like “Let’s work on it together!” though (laughter)
— (laughter) The perfect limited edition is a double album with “Roots” and ”Progress”, and Manners is included in both, isn’t it?
Kobato: Yes, po. When we completed all the other songs, we were like “Isn’t it better to have a song to bridge ‘roots’ and ‘progress’?” and wrote Manners, po.
— It has the line “Go to the Unseen World”, and it shows your feelings of going out into a wider world.
Kobato: I wrote the lyrics after we decided the album title, so I wanted to have something you can strongly feel that from, po. The theme of the lyrics is “Band-Maid of now”. In that sense too, I hope it will be an indispensable song in this album, po.
Akane
— I believe masters and princesses will be very pleased by the songs of “Progress”. For example, I’m stunned by Giovanni, which runs at top speed all of a sudden. “Progress” has many fast songs, doesn’t it?
Akane: Yes. The fastest song ever is BLACK HOLE. It’s hard (laughter). [Note: BLACK HOLE is 220 BPM, Screaming is 215 BPM, Different and Dilemma are 210 BPM.]
Kobato: This time, there’s almost no easy song, right?
Akane: Every time we release an album, it’s getting harder (laughter). However, I cal also feel my growth. During the stay-at-home period, I practiced by myself, which had a big meaning. I think I’m getting results. I’d like to show “The best is yet to come.”
Saiki: This album is also our manifestation of “We will keep evolving further from here, we will never stop”, which is reflected in its sounds. I also wanted to make something I can lead with my vocals.
Kobato: There are a lot of words all through the songs this time. So she was like “I can’t breathe. Where should I breathe?” at the recording.
Saiki: There was no timing for breath, so I was like “Does this mean I must increase my lung capacity?” (laughter) I’ve grown at the recording, so I feel it was a very good training. I’ve improved my muscles and lung capacity.
Kobato: You can’t sing them without improving your stamina, right?
Saiki: Yeah. Actually I increased muscle training for the recording.
— The album is full of highlights of vocals and instruments. H-G-K, NO GOD, and Warning! are all quite something.
Saiki: NO GOD really has a live feel.
— You named it “NO GOD”, but to me all of you Band-Maid are gods.
Saiki: Gods? OK, we are (laughter).
Kobato: I think the songs in this album are basically all hard at servings too, po.
Akane: It will be a test of stamina.
Kobato: Because we want to raise the bar every time we release an album. We always want to go against our masters and princesses’ expectations in a good sense and show them something of a higher level, po. In that sense, we painted ourselves into a corner again to make this album.
— Also, Youth, included only in the perfect limited version, is a must-listen. It really feels the “Roots” taste.
Kobato: I think its backing vocals and sound feel will remind you of the atmosphere of our early days, po. Kanami-chan came up with them, including a strong twin vocal feel, po.
Kanami: I wanted to play it at summer music festivals.
Kobato: We want to play it someday, right?
Kanami: Yeah. So I want our masters and princesses to learn Kobato’s part.
Kobato: I think it’ll be great if they can sing along with me, po.
— The line “Live without compromising on yourself; Raise your heat toughly” is so Band-Maid. Those who compromise easily on themselves wouldn’t be able to pursue this style.
Kobato: You’re right (laughter).
Saiki: Because we consist of five strong-willed individuals.
Akane: We’d like to continue to convey our music with confidence.
Kobato: We’ve been always emphasizing our contrast of being maids and being cool. We’re not Band-Maid if we’re not maids in the first place, po.
— If you were high school students and saw Band-Maid now, you would probably think “This band is cool!”, wouldn’t you?
Misa: That would be so. It would be hard to cover the songs, though.
Saiki: However, recently, there are more and more people who cover our songs. I saw some elementary school children sing. I thought, “Do they sing this heavy lyrics?” (laughter)
Kobato: I thought once, “You shouldn’t sing such lyrics with despair of life!” (laughter) But I’m really glad, po.
— This is your first appearance on PIA, so we’d like to ask you what kind of entertainment you have been enjoying so far. Miku-san, I’ve heard you learned enka [note: traditional Japanese pop songs] in your childhood.
Kobato: That’s right, po. I got to know the joy of singing by enka, and I thought, “Singing is wonderful, music is so much fun”, po. My grandma used to go to a kind of enka class and sing in a kimono at a public hall, and I used to go to her lessons with her, po.
— You like Yoshimi Tendo-san, don’t you?
Kobato: Yes. The first song I learned in my life is her Chindo Monogatari. At that time, I didn’t quite understand the meaning of “The sea will be divided” but I thought “It’s a fantastic song”. [Note: The line in Chindo Monogatari is about a tidal causeway of Jindo, South Korea.]
— When did you wake up to rock?
Kobato: I got to know about Tokyo Jihen when I was in junior high school or in high school, and I was like “Rock bands are so cool!” po. Some friends played in local bands and I went to see them live. I saw a lot of bands in venues and I got to like bands more and more, po.
— You also like anime, don’t you?
Kobato: Yes. When I was a maid in Akihabara, I listened to a lot of Vocaloid songs like Hatsune Miku on Nico Nico Douga, po. [Note: her name was taken from Hatsune Miku.]
— What are you interested in lately?
Kobato: I started listening to hard rock after forming Band-Maid, and recently I listen to a lot of overseas bands, po. I’m like “I’ll give them a try!” when I see Kanami-chan write about bands in a questionnaire. I’m doing the same thing as our masters and princesses do, po (laughter).
— (laughter) Saiki-san, which artist inspired you to awaken to music?
Saiki: That was Namie Amuro-san. First time I saw her on TV, I admired her like “I didn’t know there’s such a cool woman!” and I got to know about professional singers. First, I started learning to dance. They’ve complimented my singing since I was small.
— Do you still dance?
Saiki: Currently I’m doing a dance group with friends once every month. It’s fun. Last time, Akane also came to the group.
Akane: I joined the dance group too (laughter).
Saiki: I sometimes think a new world will open up if we Band-Maid become really big and able to have backup dancers.
Kanami
— Which band did you listen to?
Saiki: Such as Kegawa No Maries, Kuroneko Chelsea, Za-Ningen, Yura Yura Teikoku, and so on. I also used to listen to UVERworld, One OK Rock, and [Alexandros].
— I’ve heard you like trains other than music.
Saiki: I love Shinkansen. I collect Plarail and play with it at home.
Kobato: Your house is made of sneakers and Plarail, po, right?
Saiki: Yes. The sneakers make the wall.
Kobato: It’s awesome. There’s really a wall made of sneaker boxes, po.
Saiki: I’ll have to make a shelf for them finally (laughter).
— (laughter) Kanami-san, how did you get into the guitar?
Kanami: I started it when I was in high school. I’d played the piano for long, so I joined the keion club [note: a school club of student bands] as a keyboardist, but I thought the guitar was cooler and younger students would love me if I play it.
Saiki: They would love you?
Kanami: Yeah. I wanted to be said “You’re so cool!” from them.
Kobato: Now you’re said “Kanami-sensei is so cool!” po, right?
Kanami: Really? Thank you.
Kobato: There are princesses watching Kanami-chan at our servings.
Kanami: My dream has come true (laughter).
— (laughter) Which guitarist did you admire?
Kanami: Santana has always been a healing of my heart. I still listen to him when I’m tired.
— How did you come across hard rock and heavy metal?
Kanami: A senior student who taught me the guitar in high school gave me songs to cover, and many of them were hard rock, such as Kiss, Deep Purple, Mr. Big, Metallica, and so on. I’ve been playing those song since then, but I started analyzing them seriously only after Thrill.
— What is your favorite entertainment other than music?
Kanami: Hmm… What is it?
Kobato: Isn’t it coffee?
Kanami: Is coffee entertainment?
Akane: Isn’t it coffee after all? You’re also studying drip brewing.
Kanami: You’re right. There’s a coffee shop I like, and I always order beans there.
Saiki: You always bring coffee, right?
Kanami: I always bring coffee I brew at home. I think coffee I brew myself tastes better than coffee I buy.
Kobato: You sometimes read manga about coffee, right?
Kanami: Yeah. Boku wa Coffee ga Nomenai was very interesting.
Misa
— You each have been enjoying various things. Then, Misa-san, what kind of music have you listened to?
Misa: My mom had me listen to The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, and so on as a “gifted education” in my childhood. That was when I woke up to bands. I think I picked up a guitar for the first time when I was a 7th grader [note: 12-13 years old]. I’ve became very conscious of music since then, and I’d been always saying “I want to do music in the future”. I formed my first band when I was in high school.
— What made you start playing the bass?
Misa: I was invited like “How about playing the bass?” A few years later, I found my favorite bassist on the Internet. She is Paz Lenchantin.
— Of A Perfect Circle?
Misa: Yes. She’s in the Pixies now. I respect her.
— You like alternative and grunge bands like the Smashing Pumpkins, don’t you?
Misa: Yes, I do. I like heavy and slow bands such as Nine Inch Nails. I also like Britpop. I love Blur.
— What do you like other than music?
Misa: I play nothing but games.
— Also, as everyone expects, you love drinking, don’t you?
Misa: I like drinking (laughter).
— Misa-san, you have an image of whiskey.
Misa: There are various types of whiskey, which is interesting. You can change the way of drinking it and enjoy it in various ways. I like drinking whiskey on the rocks with a little bit of carbonated water.
— Is there any whiskey you recommend to readers?
Misa: I like Laphroaig. I recommend it.
— Then, lastly, Akane-san, I’ve heard you used to play in a brass band.
Akane: Yes. I played the trombone in junior high school and in high school. When I was a 11th grader [note: 16-17 years old], I quit the brass band and joined the keion club as a guitarist, but I seriously started drumming at the end of the 12th grade and entered a music school soon.
— So there was a time when you played the guitar.
Akane: Yes. I kept failing at the guitar (laughter). I used to play the piano until kindergarten, but I wasn’t really into it. I’ve been enjoying music since I started to play the trombone in junior high school. I was really addicted to Ellegarden, Bump of Chicken, and Radwimps when I was in high school. Also, before that, I was addicted to Orange Range too. I started going to music festivals, and started listening to melocore because of my friends, and I began to want to do it myself.
— Is there anything you are really into other than music?
Akane: I’m into anime. The first anime I fell in love with was Shaman King I watched when I was in elementary school. The Prince of Tennis too. I still check all the animes every season.
— What do you recommend this season?
Akane: Jujutsu Kaisen.
Saiki: That’s fun to watch.
— The five of you each have different hobbies and roots. That may be the reason of the diversity you Band-Maid have.
Kobato: That may be so. We have quite a lot of hobbies.
— I believe each of your tastes will keep you evolving. What kind of activities do you want to do in 2021?
Kobato: I don’t know what the social situation will be like from now on, so I can’t say anything specific yet. Last year, we managed to do something we could do in that situation by trial and error, such as Online Okyu-ji during the pandemic, po. This year too, we’d like to do what we can do now one by one, po. We want to continue to convey our music to our masters and princesses, po.
Saiki: If this situation continues this year just like last year, we’d like to think of doing something new more and more. I think the frustrating world will continue for a while, so we’d like to deliver music that relieves frustration.

Yae Sakura - Fox Goddess of Inazuma

Yae Sakura - Fox Goddess of Inazuma
TLDR:
  • In Inazuma, we'll meet a hot waifu fox girl who can possess beings.
  • Her name is Yae Sakura, and she's heavily linked with the miko of the same name that appears in miHoYo's previous games, Houkai Gakuien 2 and Honkai Impact 3rd.
  • She's the current vessel for an Inazuman fox deity, a magical being similar to the Adepti and the evil gods of Liyue that Rex Lapis defeated.
  • She may be the reason why the Raiden Shogun had a sudden personality shift one year ago.
  • The Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed God may be a huge mecha samurai.
  • Your wallet is in danger.

Introduction

There are three known characters from Inazuma that have officially been teased by miHoYo: The Raiden Shogun herself, Kamisato Ayaka, and a mysterious woman known as Guuji Yae.'Guuji' is a title in Japanese that translates to 'Chief Priest', so her official name is simply 'Yae'.
The two times Guuji Yae has been mentioned are in the New Years tweet by miHoYo, a little more than a year ago now, and in the introduction post for Zhongli, when he was released. All that we can conclude from these two mentions of Guuji Yae is that she's the chief priest of Inazuma, and that she oversees the Inazuma shrine.
However, Ayaka's voicelines have recently been datamined. Several new characters are revealed in these, but there's one line in particular that really piqued my interest: a line called 'About Yae Sakura...' It goes as follows:
'I'm not even sure exactly what Yae's role is myself, but one would assume she is a High Mishaguji. I greatly enjoy working with her. Organizing festival affairs generally takes a lot of effort, and doesn't generate much income, but Yae's events always come off both elegant and profitable.'
So now we know that Guuji Yae's full name is Yae Sakura, and that she is likely a 'High Mishaguji'.
If you didn't know, Yae Sakura is a character from miHoYo's previous games Houkai Gakuien 2 and Honkai Impact 3rd. MiHoYo is known to reimagine characters from their older games into their newer ones, and Genshin Impact is no exception to this. So, let's talk about Yae Sakura from Honkai, and how she could possibly relate to the Yae Sakura from Genshin. To distinguish between the two characters, I'll call the Yae Sakura from Honkai by her full name, and the Yae Sakura from Genshin by her title, 'Guuji Yae'.

Honkai Impact - Herrscher of Corruption

https://preview.redd.it/vvaodrp2awb61.jpg?width=1121&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12a83f0677d2c8a98c938d7f475894e62c224551
In Honkai Impact, there are antagonistic beings known as Herrschers. They use human bodies as their vessels. Yae Sakura, a shrine maiden from a Japanese village, is a vessel for the 12th Herrscher, the Herrscher of Corruption. This Herrscher has the ability to project its own consciousness onto any object and control it freely. It is often portrayed as a giant fox. Those giant, pink fox ears that sprout from Yae's hair (I promise, they're fox ears!) are a sign that the 12th Herrscher is using her as a vessel.
Although all Herrschers use humans as their vessels, the 12th Herrscher's whole shtick is possessing and corrupting beings. First it possessed a girl called RIN, then possessed the computer system of the hyper-advanced Old World and started a nuclear attack reducing the human population to 31022, was stuck in a small, black box for 52.000 years, was released and caused the Black Death, killing another ~100 million people, possessed Yae Sakura, and finally tried to possess Theresa Apocalypse before permanently being sealed into a katana. In an alternate version of the story it also possessed Raiden Mei.

Raiden Mei's hair turns pink as Sakura possess her

But what could this mean for Genshin Impact?

We already know there are many gods, deities and mystical beings all around Teyvat. Mondstadt has Decarabian, Dvalin, Andrius and Barbatos, Liyue has the Adepti, Guizhong, Havria, the 'evil' gods that Morax defeated, and likely many more. So, it's safe to assume that Inazuma will also have gods and deities, either in the present or the past.
In Retracing Bolide, one such god may be mentioned:
The mask of one indwelt by a deity.A mask that has been cast in the image of some legendary deity.
People will often take on the guise of the fox of legend,Covering their faces with masks based on her divine visage,Perhaps wishing that they might gain her ability of transformation.
But many people still believe in these divine foxes and the ability to be indwelt by them...They believe that thousands of years of age may confer power upon animals.
A mysterious female fox-god with the power of transformation and the ability to indwell beings...
I believe that Guuji Yae is the current vessel for this fox of legend, just like how Yae Sakura was the latest vessel for the Herrscher of Corruption in Honkai Impact.
As we saw, in Retracing Bolide there is a lot of talk about transformation and being indwelt by a deity. If we look back to Ayaka's datamined voiceline about Guuji Yae, we can see that she thinks Guuji Yae is a 'High Mishaguji'. Mishaguji are nature-based spirits or deities that are summoned by a high priest of a temple, and use objects or persons as their vessel for the duration of the ritual. Sounds awfully similar to what's described in Retracing Bolide, and to the 12th Herrscher, right?
In a previous reddit post I made to prepare for this one, I listed all the connections I could find between the Retracing Bolide lore, and three book series found in Genshin Impact:Moonlit Bamboo Forest, Heart's Desire, and The Fox in the Dandelion Sea.You can read them if you want, but I'll summarise what's important right here.
All three of these books include a fox-woman with fox-like eyes that can sometimes transform into a fox, can sometimes read people's minds, has the same general appearance and cold skin and often dresses in white, and has some sort of mastery over a magical place, likely this deity's abode.
There are some discrepancies, but that could be because these are fictional books. We're talking about a fox of legend, after all, and legends inspire all sorts of myths and stories written by all kinds of people.
These fox-women may be previous vessels of the fox-god, or they may be reimagined versions of its current vessel, Guuji Yae, but one thing is certain: they're all talking about an ancient, immortal fox-woman with magical powers and mystical knowledge.

Visions for the Fox-God?

Unfortunately, we know very little about Guuji Yae and this fox-deity besides what we can gather from these unreliable books and a single artifact set's lore that only scratches the surface of this mystery. Still, it's fun to speculate with what we do know, so here goes my theory:
The Raiden Shogun is collecting visions for the fox-deity, either because they are allied or because the fox-deity is possessing the Raiden Shogun, too. The Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed God is supposed to act as a permanent body for the fox-deity so that it can stop using human vessels like Guuji Yae.
Yeah, I know, it sounds really stupid. Let me explain:
As I mentioned before, in Honkai Impact, the Herrscher of Corruption/Yae Sakura temporarily possesses Raiden Mei. This is completely voluntary on Mei's part, so if they were to make a callback to this in Genshin Impact, perhaps they are allies here too. The fox-deity may be discontent with its current vessel, Guuji Yae, and hopes to gain a stronger form.
The katana that the Herrscher of Corruption was eventually sealed into spawned an illusionary armoured samurai named after the blade, Jizo Mitama.
Jizo Mitama
So, could the the Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed God be Genshin's version of Jizo Mitama? Visions are mysterious magical objects, so collecting them en masse and laying them in the hands of a statue of this Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed God is bound to make something happen to this statue. Perhaps it will allow the fox-deity to possess it, shedding her need for lesser, human vessels.
In Genshin Impact, there have been two recent changes that affected all of Teyvat: the Tsaritsa started plotting her rebellion against the divine and seeks to collect all the archon's gnosis, and the Traveller's sibling has recently taken control of the Abyss Order, increasing the hostility of hilichurls and other hostile creatures. Could one of these have motivated the fox-deity and/or the Raiden Shogun to militarise themselves?
Perhaps the Raiden Shogun has already lost her gnosis to the Tsaritsa, which also explains why the fatui harbinger from Inazuma, Scaramouche, is no longer in Inazuma. Their work there is already done, and the Raiden Shogun is unlikely to be too friendly to any fatui still left in Inazuma. So, to take back her gnosis, the Raiden Shogun has agreed to help the fox-deity get a new, powerful vessel capable of challenging the Tsaritsa. After all, Guuji Yae and the Raiden Shogun seem to be on friendly terms with eachother, talking about Rex Lapis in casual conversation.Alternatively, perhaps the fox-deity can now possess this weakened archon since she has lost her gnosis, and is using the Shogun's control over Inazuma to assemble this animated statue herself.

Afterword

This theory is currently not based on a lot of evidence, but what we can say for sure is that there is a fox-woman, Guuji Yae, in Inazuma, and that she likely plays a major role in the story. Why else would miHoYo tease her name nine months before the game's official release?
In an earlier post I made speculating about Yae Sakura, I theorised that Guuji Yae literally is the fox-deity, and that she has embraced her human transformation powers to prevent being suppressed by the Raiden shogun. If that sounds more reasonable to you than this theory I suggested here, go and read that, too.

Here are some more sources of information relating to this upcoming character:
The fandom's page about Yae, only includes officially revealed information (else miHoYo would get mad). This page will probably be updated whenever we find out more about Yae through official reveals.
The Gratitude Arc of Honkai Impact's Manga, which focuses on Yae Sakura.
Another Honkai Manga, this time focusing on the Herrscher of Corruption.
A different, earlier post I made which connected Guuji Yae with the Retracing Bolide artifact set. Made obsolete by this post, so you don't have to bother reading it.

Miscellaneous Lore (+ Dragonspine Lore & Theories)

Miscellaneous Lore /+ Dragonspine

Happy Holidays to Everyone!
I know that I said I was going to do an Albedo analysis (and I am) but I wanted to write this first since I found Dragonspine, itself, way more interesting than Albedo. So, I think I’ll let that sit on the back-burner for now.
But this isn’t just about Dragonspine. If you’re here just for the Dragonspine lore, I will mostly be talking about that towards the end of this write-up. Two other things, there's going to be lots of pictures (beware, you’ve been warned), and I don’t know Latin so take what I put into Google Translate with a grain of salt (but if anyone does and would like to give a more proper translation, than, please, go ahead).
So. . . With all that out the way, I hope you enjoy this lore! ʕ ·ᴥ·ʔ
Let me note, I do not know every piece of lore in the game so I’m sorry for anything incorrect. This write-up is just some miscellaneous lore, as the title says, so this isn’t going to be some grandeur theory, though I can't say I won’t theorize a bit. At the time of writing this, I haven’t played through every Dragonspine Quest, but I played through a good majority of them.

The Genshin Design & Webcomic Tidbits

Did you know, all the prominent Knight’s of Favonius have this symbol on their uniform?

(Diluc, Jean, Amber, Lisa, Sucrose)
The only exceptions to this are: Kaeya, Albedo, Klee, & Noelle.
*NOTE: On Sucrose’s outfit, the only part of the symbol present is the very top part, with 6 wings.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
At the sides of La Signora’s outfits you can see what looks to be a Rose (similar to the one seen in Noelle’s constellation).

(Example Image)
Noelle say’s that, “A maid is required to keep everyone's secrets. That's why my favorite flower is the rose. Here in Mondstadt, the rose represents the saying ‘As wine bottles are corked, so too are my lips sealed.'”
Roses therefore mean something along the lines of secrecy or mystery.
The only other character, so far, to also have the Rose motif is Lisa (Witch of Purple Rose). In Albedo’s voicelines, he says, “But is a person with her talents satisfied with such a basic occupation as Librarian? There must be some hidden reason for this.”
Lisa, in the story, was one of the top students of Sumera Academia and is said to be a “famous alumnus” (Lisa, Story 3). Despite this, she works a mundane job as a Librarian—yes, she is lazy and that’s part of it, but as Albedo says, there could perhaps be a secret behind that.
*NOTE: I will be talking a bit more about Sumera Academia later into this post! Also I want to point out so far, both Dainsleif and Kaeya cover their left eye and so does Signora, while Beidou and Fischl cover their right.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The Webcomic gives more clarification as to why we see the Fatui in each and every region of Tevyat, despite, I don’t know, them clearly doing some shady stuff (cough, cough attempting to nuke an entire city).

(Chapter 1: Bad Wine)
Even before the game began the Fatui were trying to get Mondstadt to budge, but this has not happened.
Ex.
As for Liyue, the Qixing also haven’t let the Fatui push their agenda too far.
Ex.
What isn’t mentioned in the Webcomic (or anywhere in the story as of now) is that there’s actually a secret organization going against the Fatui. This organization is mentioned in Diluc’s 4th character story.
“Diluc narrowly escaped death at the hands of the Eleven thanks to a third-party observer from the north, who was part of a vast underground intelligence network. The observer claimed to have been observing Diluc for some time and approved of his methods. . . Acknowledging his shortcomings, he decided to join the underground intelligence network. . . The network was made up of volunteers, and many of its members had willingly given up their prior positions and reputations to join. Some had even abandoned their names.”
Fun Fact: Diluc actually caught the eyes of the 11 Harbingers. So when is Diluc and Childe going to fight, Mihoyo? ( ͡° ͜ ͡°)
The reason we haven’t seen this organization yet—the Fatui have almost no presence in either Mondstadt or Liyue so it wouldn’t make sense for this secret organization to strike there.
So except going forward to see more of the Fatui and, hopefully, the formal introduction of this super, secret organization.

(Prologue: Songs of the Wind)
In the Prologue of the Webcomic, we get a glimpse of Celestia. This is specifically when Venessa ascends to Celestia. You can see the same pillars you see as the game loads, plus the pillar that you find at Dragonspine.
Vanessa is mentioned multiple times throughout Genshin.
Ex.
So far she is the only person, we know of, who has ascended to Celestia.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Ah—yes, Gold, everyone’s favorite Alchemist.
Chapter 7: Dusty Chest, in the Webcomic, goes on to depict the day in which Diluc’s father dies at the hands of Ursa the Drake. This is also mentioned in Diluc’s 3rd character story.
Ex. “. . . His Father, who had denied admittance into the Knights and who was shunned by the gods, defeated the monster with an unknown evil power—before that same power backfired, mortally wounding Crepus himself”.
Ex. Webcomic Panel (← It’s really long, so that’s just a link to the image)
Take note, from the Webcomic, that once Ursa was tampered with, by the Fatui's device, it’s eyes went from yellow to red. Diluc’s character story also goes on to call Ursa the Drake’s power “an unknown evil power” and further says it was the same power Crepus used, meaning it seems to be the same power delusions use.

(Chapter 14: ?)
In chapter 14 of the Webcomic, Barnabas transforms into a beast with red eyes, much like Ursa the Drake. He titles the power he uses as the “God’s power” (fan-translation). The power Barnabas is using is most likely from the Archon Residue experiment, the same power he injected Colleil with.
Chapter 4: Surprise Finding goes on to describe Colliel’s powers as, “. . .it was not an elemental power we know of. ‘Elements are neutral, but this black fire is most nefarious, devouring life like an avaricious monster’. . .The black fire seemed to have a great hunger for anything living. . .”
Now what does this have to do with Gold?
“When Khaenri'ah was destroyed, a great sinner (Gold) created endless monsters with alien, dark blood flowing through their veins. They rampaged across the land, destroying all in their paths. Their lives were mutations, caused by powers beyond this world” (Chunk of Aerosiderite).
*NOTE: It’s worth noting that this power can be even more powerful than the Archon’s power, and as we know the Archon’s channel power from Celestia itself through their Gnoses. “Only power beyond the order of Teyvat is able to stain the power of Rex Lapis black”.
Durin was one of Gold’s monsters.
“Indwell my body, and descend unto this world. Then, my lovely children. . . Go unto a lovely place, and display your own beauty there with pride. This is a memory, a memory that a child named Durin had of his mother. . .” (Festering Desire, ADDED WITH DRAGONSPINE).
It’s worth noting that, from Festering Desire, Gold is titled as the mother of these beasts while Skyward Blade goes on to call the beasts her “sons”. It’s also worth pointing out that, from the description of Festering Desire, it seems that the Gold’s sons did not understand what would happen once they descended upon the world. This idea is also reinforced by Skyward Spine, which says that Durin was “filled with eternal regret”.
So. . . Gold’s Powers are similar to the power from the Archon Residue experiment which is also similar to the power of Delusions (and don’t forget the Foul Legacy Transformation) (-。-;

In the Tevyat Chapter Storyline Preview, you see this top-tier husbando man show up—Cyno.

(Tevyat Chapter Storyline Preview)
In the Webcomic, Cyno shows up Chapter 12: Unshrouded Resolution and makes a few appearances in the chapters thereafter.
He says, “I’m from Sumera Academia. I’m here to assist Lisa in treating that girl’s affliction” (Chapter 12: Unshrouded Resolution).
As stated above, Lisa is a well-known alumni from Sumera Academia, and this is also stated in her Character profile text: “The librarian of the Knights of Favonius. In addition to her elegance and charm, Lisa is also highly educated. She is said to have been the most talented sorceress to study at the Sumeru Arcademia in the last two centuries. It is known that Lisa chose to return to Mondstadt after two years of advanced study in Sumeru, but the reason for the decision is not”.
*NOTE: Albedo, one of the most talented alchemists in all of Tevyat, even acknowledges Lisa’s talents. It’s from the quote I brought up earlier.
What makes Sumera Academia so special?
Obviously, their knowledge, but more specific they seem to have a grasp of the language which is seen in Domains, Abyss, etc.
In Diluc’s story quest, Noctua: Act I, the Abyss Order sends a letter to the Darknight Hero. Huffman says that, “Although this is written in the common tongue, it appears that a cipher has been used in many places' ' while Paimon states, “some parts are complete gibberish” (Darknight Hero’s Crisis).

(Chapter 9: Ludi Harpastum, Chapter 8: Final Clue, Letter In-Game, Childe: A Letter to Snezhnaya)
Above are examples of the hand-writing of Tevyat. The text from the Webcomic differs from what is seen in-game, but neither are 1-for-1 with the text seen in Domains, the Abyss, etc.
From what I quoted above, to normal people, the Abyss mage’s language (the one seen in Domains, the Abyss, etc.) seems like complete gibberish, but in the webcomic Cyno uses this language to seal Colleil’s power. Below is a translation of the Abyss characters (idk, what I should call the characters?).

(Chapter 13: Dual Reassurance)
*NOTE: There’s a question mark after God because there’s one more character after G-O-D, but I wasn’t sure what the translation on that was so I just left it as a question mark. Also, below there will be an image of this Abyss Alphabet because I will be doing more translations.
Lisa, being a top-student of Sumera Academia, should know many things, right?
In-game there are only two characters which acknowledge a trade-off of using Visions: Lisa and Zhongli
Ex.
With the context of Zhongli’s entire line, he’s talking, more so, about a trade-off of responsibility rather than Lisa who’s talking about a trade-off of power that can backfire.
It’s also worth mentioning Lisa’s disparate view compared to the other Alchemists/Researchers in-game.
Ex.
Is it possible that, at Sumera Academia with their vast knowledge, Lisa uncovered the secrets behind visions? In any case, she saw the lengths people went to find the profoundest knowledge of all which led to her disposition and/or laziness.

Dragonspine Findings

With the release of Albedo & Dragonspine, it’s only natural that we find more 3-sided Celtic Knots! The architecture of Dragonspine is also similar to that of Eastern Mondstadt (Thousand Winds Temple) and Domains.

(Albedo: Contemplation in Chalk, Door at the Entombed City - Ancient Palace, Area where Rosaria and the Traveler speaks in Princeps Cretaceus: Act I)
But not only can you find Celtic Knots, you can also find four-sided Celtic Knots—Asmoday’s symbol.

(Found in both secret rooms, Entombed City - Ancient Palace & Skyfrost Nail)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The lore locked behind Dragonspine tells the story of a Priest, Princess, Scribe, and Outlander. It was the Outlander’s duty to find a remedy to the eternal winter of Dragonspine and so the Outlander, Imunlaukr, set off on his journey. But, it had not always been Winter in Dragonspine, for the Princess says of seeing a “blue sky and green grass”. The princess’s father, the Priest Varuch(?), also sets off on a journey, climbing a peak in search of guidance. It’s worth noting that the princess’s father seemed to go to Celestia for help while Imunlaukr went to find the Silver Tree, in the depths of the world. Eventually, the civilization is wiped out and the last one remaining, the Scribe, wishes for the world to burn and comments that a nation is being built without Gods. Imunlaukr returns to find that everyone is dead and sets off once more.
Whew—it’s a lot of lore, but that’s just a small summary.
The Princess of Dragonspine was a painter, said to have made Frescoes. We know that she made 4 in total: 1st unknown, 2nd mentioned by the priest, 3rd is mentioned by the princess to be a landscape, 4th is mentioned in Snowswept Memory & Snow-Tombed Starsilver to be a depiction of Imunlaukr.
The frescoes can be found in the secret room.
Ex. “The outlander left the Starsliver originally meant to shatter snow and wind alike between the frescoes.”
These Frescoes depict Celestia giving those of Dragonspine their power, the grassy mountain land with Celestia above, and the King pointing upward to Celestia. (I’ll get to the middle picture later!)
Earlier I talked about translating the Abyss Language and, well, on these Frescoes is that same Language, which I have translated.
Here’s the Abyss Alphabet, credits to Messiah7: https://m.imgur.com/iJdfWKT

(Text from the paintings found in the Secret Room)
After translating both phrases you get:
*NOTE: If you want to translate the phrases for yourself (idk, why) on the second phrase it’s best to translate from the left-wall first, but then you have to translate the last line from the right wall since the left wall is missing that line. Also, I hope you bring your magnifying glass if you want to translate these, since, in-game, some of the text is made to look eroded and it’s ratchet.
I put these through Google Translate and got the phrases:
Yeah, I know, right? Google translate is really useful ( ಠ ͜ʖಠ)
Anyway, I can’t speak about the second phrase because I have no idea what it’s supposed to mean. Onto the first phrase then, “Christmas Angels Help”. Obviously this isn’t entirely correct but the idea/imagery of angels is noteworthy nonetheless.
In the Webcomic, there’s a panel that depicts the beings of Celestia as Angels.

(Prologue: Songs of the Wind)
The first phrase then seems to say that the beings came down from Celestia to help.
The characters in front of the secret room come out as: UEREMINI or Reverence, most likely meaning treasure.
(Text in front of Secret Room)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
So now. . . what is that middle picture on the wall?
The tablets you read, in order to access the secret room, expand on the story of the Priest, Princess, Scribe and Outlander.
One of the tablets goes on to say, “. . . far from snow and strife, and came upon this verdant paradise. A monument was laid down in this place, and it was named Sal Vind.”
If you put Sal Vind into Google Translate you get Crescent salt (I have no idea if this is entirely correct because I don’t know Latin :P).
Sal Vind seems to be the place painted on the middle wall.
If you take a look at the middle painting, you’ll see what looks to be the crescent moon painted above the three mountains. The right side of this moon is eroded, but if you look to the left you’ll see symbols similar to the symbols found on one of Kaeya’s skill, Glacial Waltz, and also found on Dainsleif’s cape.

(Example Image)
You can also see this swirly symbol on the wings of the, aforementioned, beings of Celestia.
On these paintings you’ll notice the Sky Island (Celestia) above the mountains (Right wall & Left wall paintings). This sky island is depicted in front of a sun. What if Celestia is a kingdom symbolized by the sun, while Khaenri’ah is symbolized by the moon?
Going back to those stone tablets, there’s the line: “. . . Dreamed of the black dragon that blotted out the sun, and knew it to be an omen of doom”.
For some reason, the princess wishes for a black dragon to blot out the sun, seemingly Celestia. This may be because their pleas for help were never answered or other reasons. But as we know, this has never happened and the sky island still reigns supreme. If anything, especially if Khaenri’ah really is symbolized by the moon, then they got the short end of the stick.
Let me turn your attention to this line, “Chalk pursues gold, in this time inopportune, the eclipse is swallowed by the crimson moon” (Dainsleif Introduction).
The only time a Crimson (Blood) moon can occur is during a total lunar eclipse. What happens is the Earth will move between both the moon and the sun, which will cast a shadow over the moon. The Sun’s light will pass through the Earth and get bent, turning the moon into it a shade of red.
Okay, great science lesson (ᴗ ͜ʖ ᴗ)
Celestia ↔ Khaenri’ah
The point is, it seems Celestia and Khaerni’ah are more closely linked than I had originally thought.
Aside from the symbols of Khaenri’ah (as shown on Kaeya & Dainsleif) being present on the Frescoe, within the depictions of the beings of Celestia, there’s also Albedo.
From Albedo’s stories, it’s said that he had a master, Rhinedottir, and that this master “was not his birth mother, but. . . his life stems from her nonetheless” (Albedo’s 5th Character Story).
Rhinedottir used the alchemy of Khaenri’ah, the Art of Khemia, to create Albedo—the homunculus. If you look into the names of Albedo’s skills, you’ll see there’s references to the sun and descent (which descent isn’t possible from Khaenri’ah since it’s underground).
Ex.
Descent of Divinity is pretty straight forward, Divinity as in Divine (Celestia).
Grace of Helios is in reference to the Greek Titan, Helios.
Helios was one of the Titans, son of Hyperion and Theia and brother of Eos (the Dawn) and Selene (the Moon). The personification of the Sun. . .
*NOTE: Helios is not the first time the game has made references to Greek literature/mythology (Ex. Ajax & Teucer) and it probably won’t be the last.
If Albedo was originally made in (from) Khaenri’ah, the underground civilization which would not seemingly be able to see the sun, then why does his skills reference the sun/Celestia? Sadly, this is more of a rhetorical question than anything since I don’t have a further answer than just Khaenri’ah and Celestia being linked.
Before I bring up one last thing, it’s also worth mentioning The Pale Princess and the Six Pygmies. The book series talks about a Prince of Light and, of course, the Pale Princess and how they met and decided to save the Moonlit Forest. Is this perhaps in reference to both Celestia (Prince of Light) and Khaenri’ah (Pale Princess)?

(By the location of the Scribe's Box)
If anyone knows what this may mean, I’m going to leave it here since I wasn’t entirely sure.

In Conclusion

*TLDR IS AT THE BEGINNING\*
I hope everyone had fun playing/exploring Dragonspine. I still have a bunch of the event to complete but I digress. I know this post is weird, that half of it is really random and the other half is Dragonspine, but I didn’t believe the miscellaneous stuff warranted a post for each topic, but I still wanted to bring that stuff up. This is actually one of my shorter write-ups, but it looks really long because of all the images. Also I want to say sorry if some of the images are really low resolution or crappy, since I merged a bunch of images together in a few of them. I tried to say where X is located so, if it isn’t very visible, you can go find it yourself.
Also, I want to mention that I say Genshin Webcomic because I know that it’s, most technically, a manhua, but I also know that it’s usually referred to as a Manga on here.
Now about the Albedo analysis, I hope to do it soon, but it will probably be my first write-up of 2021. Yeah, what a great way to kick off the new year! I’m not really interested in either Ganyu or Xiao, and there’s some good posts on them already out there, so I probably won’t be writing on either. Diluc is definitely happening and after that I was thinking Ningguang, because she deserves more love
(ノ﹏ヽ)
So, with all that said. . . I hope you enjoyed this ridiculously long write-up!
